This research aims to analyze the legal protection for female workers who work in
idol groups in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The focus of the research
includes arrangements for working hours, rest, wages, as well as legal protection
efforts provided to idol group members. The research method used is empirical legal
research with a qualitative approach, involving interviews and questionnaires to
members of idol groups Kohi Sekai and Minerva Land. The results show that
although there are regulations such as Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower and ILO Convention No. 183, their implementation has not been optimal. The employment relationship is still oral without a written appointment letter, the wage system is based on basic salary and merchandise sharing without minimum wage guarantee, and the absence of BPJS Employment registration. This research
highlights the importance of regulatory and supervisory reforms to ensure the protection of women workers' rights in the entertainment industry.
