This study aims to determine the responsibilities of construction service providers and what
are the forms of non-conformity of the standards referred to in the implementation of
construction work by service providers such as in the construction of buildings, bridges,
underpasses, and roads for public interest. Non-conformity of standards in the
implementation of construction work and construction work guideline standards as regulated
by law has implications for the decline in the quality of work and buildings carried out and
in particular increases the risk of work accidents and can endanger users of construction
services. This study uses a literature study method by reviewing related laws and regulations,
additional literature on construction work standards/guidelines and related research. The
results of the study on the legal responsibility of service providers in the implementation of
construction work found a gap between the implementation of work and as regulated by law
and a lack of supervision in the procurement of construction services. The responsibility of
service providers is required to implement contracts that meet security, safety, health, and
sustainability standards. This study provides guidelines for the parties and the importance of
compliance with standards and supervision in implementation in accordance with the provisions regulated.
