Yogyakarta is an education and tourism city are based a culture. Keraton
Yogyakarta is a district of cultural preserve and a center of Javanese culture is
located in the center of the city. The limitedness land and the decrease of
awareness in community, can make negative impacts for development the center
of the city. The one of the effort to prevent negative impacts is to ordering the
parking area for tourist bus in the center of the city by optimalizing the existing of
parking area. For optimizing the parking area, besides being provided the local
transportation to connecting the parking area and the tourism places, it is needed
the comfortable, safety and attractive corridor for pedestrians, due to
unappropriate existing pedestrian and the limitation land for development.
Notoprajan, Suronatan, and Kauman villages are located in the center of
Yogyakarta city between Ngabean parking area and Keraton Yogyakarta that
have historical and cultural values to be developed as tourism routes on the
villages (blusukan).Besides reducing traffic crowds, this pedestrian routes
through villages is safer and more comfortable. The aims of the research are
identifying the condition of aisles inside villages that has potencies as “blusukan
on the urban village” route between Ngabean Parking area and the Palace, as
well as giving recommendation of routes development guidelines that have culture
characteristic. This research used qualitative method. The first step is inventory of
aisles and their potencies. Based on linkage and place theories, can be found the
routes of blusukan on the village that have cultural features. The Analysis done to
ensure that the routes of blusukan are safe and comfortable public spaces, as well
as give recommendation for development guidelines are stated refer to village
condition that support tourism based a culture.
