This research’s title is Yogyakarta police efforts in tackling child
trafficking. The purpose of this paper are: 1. To determine the Yogyakarta police
efforts in tackling child trafficking crime, 2. To determine the Yogyakarta police
in tackling the problem of trafficking of children, 3. To find out how the
Yogyakarta police facing obstacles in tackling child trafficking. Legal writing this
using a type of normative as the main data used secondary data, in the form of
data obtained from library materials. The methods used to process and analyze the
data obtained in the research was the qualitative analysis. The result of this study
showed that a tackling child trafficking a criminal offence can be efforts by way
off 1st Pre-emptif, with increased public education, increased public knowlegde
through acts need to be any warranty accessibility for families, 2nd Preventive with
a second mapping crime in child trafficking Indonesia either for domestic
purposes as well as seek abroad as well as tackling the causes of the occurrence of
child trafficking a criminal offence, 3rd Repressive, with law enforcement and
applying stric sanctions for perpetrators of criminal acts of trafficking children.
