Children are the next generation of the survival of a nation, so that
the family, society and the state is obligated to protect and ensure the rights
granted to the child so they can run the nation's obligations later on as a
successor.To protect and ensure the rights of children, then the government
have set it specifically in the law No. 23/2002 about the protection of the
child and the local regulation of DIY province number 3/2012 about the
protection of women and children. However, at the present time, there are
many cases that make children as victims of violence such as physical
violence, psychological violence, sexual abuse, neglect and exploitation as
happened in Sleman district.Based on this, Sleman district government has
formed a forum in addressing violence against women and children (fpk2pa).
This forum has a role to coordinate the fulfillment of services to victims in
legal aspect, medical aspect, psychological aspect, social aspect, and
economic aspect so that the needs of the victim on these things will be
fulfilled.
