The reformation that had been happened convey the improvement for all parts in
the state of Republic of Indonesia. The reformation of public service is hoped by
the people who want improvement in public service is carried out by the central
government and local government in order to improve the welfare of the
community. In order to enhancing the public service and the protection of the law
in an effort to create a good governance, clean, effective and efficient in order to
improve the welfare of the people in the province of Central Kalimantan, then the
government of Central Kalimantan formed Ombudsman of Central Kalimantan
based on Governor Regulation No. 4 of 2007 about Ombudsman of Central
Kalimantan. The Ombudsman of Central Kalimantan function as a community
supervision institution which is independent authorized for clarification and
monitoring of reports or complaints from the public regarding the conduct of local
government, especially the implementation carried out by government officials,
including the judiciary who provide public service to the community. Supervision
is carried out by the Ombudsman of Central Kalimantan aims to realize the good
implementation of the Government of Central Kalimantan (good governance),
clean and free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism (clean government), and
to provide law protection and rights of the people of Central Kalimantan in
receiving public service of personnel government which is appropriate with
propriety and rule that applicable.
