The current development of information technology had an impact on
social behavior in society. This is resulting in the occurrence of crime, especially
through of internet. Once the extent of crime development through the means of
internet the present must be balanced with law, so that the device can be
withdrawn and formulated into criminal regulation. Police as law enforcement
institution which was first gave on of crime to virtual world must have local
expertise in revealed the crime. But there are still many constraint experience
police in uncovering cases of crime via internet. Police in dealing with criminal
fraud via internet have many experience constraints both in terms of personnel
who have not mastered education or knowledge in the field of information and
technology are still lacking. Then still lack the budgets from central government
in handling of this case. So, to overcome the constraints, the police must be sent
the personnel to studying in the field information and technology, provide
outreach to the society by coordination with the Ministry of Social orde that the
society be careful using social media to avoid criminal fraud via internet. In
addition the need carefulness to all parties also to keep attitude in using social
media.
