Legal research title is "The Role of Police in Effort to Tackle Illegal
Racing Action In Sleman Regency". The goal is to determine the actions of the
police station Lahore police to tackle illegal racing action and overcoming
obstacles encountered in the wild racing action in their jurisdiction. Normative
study was conducted, using secondary data consisting of primary legal materials,
secondary and tertiary legal materials. Conduct research and interviews, with the
resources to obtain needed information the author, conducted with library research
to find the source of data, the authors also use qualitative methods in deductive
reasoning thinking by describing the conclusions.
The conclusion is a form of action taken by the police traffic unit Lahore
Police in tackling wild racing action in the region is by the highway patrol on a
regular basis, conduct legal education and traffic regulations to the public, to
guide, and crack down on illegal racing and catch perpetrators delegate the case to
prosecutors for further processing to the imposition of sanctions in court fines and
criminal sanctions either. Efforts to combat illegal racing action can not be fully
charged at the police just because of the limitations of the police themselves, and
therefore needed a good partnership with the community to actively contribute
jointly tackle the wild racing action, which is expected to be created security,
public order and safety on the highway for the common good.
