This research discusses the role of the Land Office in resolving dual-
certified land disputes in order to create legal certainty in Jembrana
Regency, Bali Province. In addition, this study also discusses how the
Land Office identifies duplicate certificates and what causes duplicate
certificates, as well as efforts to prevent duplicate certificate disputes.
The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Jembrana
Regency Land Office in resolving land disputes with dual certificates in
order to create legal certainty. This research method uses empirical data
obtained through interviews. The research results show that the role of
the land office in resolving duplicate land certificates complies with the
procedures stipulated in the relevant regulations. If there is a complete
overlap, it can be resolved through mediation first with the Jembrana
Regency Land Office. If mediation fails, the land certificate issued later
will be revoked. Mediation is successful if one party voluntarily
relinquishes their rights to the land with the dual certificate.
