Mining encompasses the entire range of activities involved in the investigation,
management, and exploitation of minerals or coal, from exploration and feasibility
studies to construction and mining. Mining often causes problems for communities
due to waste and the negative impacts of mining activities. The purpose of this study
is to determine whether the impacts of mining activities have been minimized. To this end, this study was conducted using empirical methods. The results of the study show that many people are still affected by mining activities in Central Kalimantan, more specifically in the village of Jaweten. The community is still affected by the activities of hauling trucks and there is still a lack of attention from the government towards the people affected by these activities. The conclusion from this is that many
people are still affected by mining activities.
