Ciangir Final Processing Site the only one in Tasikmalaya City, has become an
environmental problem due to increasing waste volume, inadequate wastewater
treatment facilities, foul odors, health and education disturbances, and pollution in
agriculture. This study aims to examine the management of Ciangir Final Processing
Site as an effort to control environmental pollution in Tamansari District Tasikmalaya
City, and to identify obstacles and solutions applied by the Tasikmalaya City
Environmental Agency. This empirical research focuses on social facts in the
community. The analysis uses qualitative methods where the collected data are described
and interpreted to solve the problems. Results show that the Environmental Agency role
in managing the Ciangir Final Processing Site has been carried out, but challenges
remain, including low public awareness in sorting organic and inorganic waste, limited
transport vehicles, heavy equipment, and access roads, suboptimal leachate
management, and obstacles from third parties in project implementation. Therefore,
increased supervision and regular maintenance are necessary to overcome pollution.
The conclusion is that management of Ciangir Final Processing Site has been
implemented but is not yet fully optimal, especially in providing adequate facilities and
waste processing infrastructure to support environmental pollution control.
