This study aims to analyze case handling based on the principles of Keadilan
Restoratif for perpetrators of criminal acts that occur in the Dayak Mali
community. This study is an empirical legal study with primary legal sources. The study, entitled “SETTLEMENT OF CRIMINAL CASES WITH CUSTOMARY SANCTIONS IN MALI, WEST KALIMANTAN” analyzes how traditional laws in society have been obeyed from generation to generation by the indigenous Dayak Mali community. This customary law has customary criminal sanctions in the form of Riyal sanctions, which are used in the settlement of cases of law violations in the
community and are also used in the settlement of criminal cases based on the principles of Keadilan Restoratif.
