The title of this legal writing is Law Enforcement Against Children
Perpetrators of Gambling Crimes. Children who commit gambling crimes
must be held accountable for their actions. Children who can be tried are
in accordance with what is stated in the Law. In practice, for children who
commit crimes, the emphasis is on resolving them through Restorative
Justice to prioritize the principles of child protection which include non-
discrimination, aiming to prioritize the best interests of the child, and
paying attention to the child's developmental aspects. The gap between
positive law and social facts related to law enforcement against children
perpetrators of gambling crimes is the basis for writing this research
because in practice in Indonesia itself law enforcement against
perpetrators of gambling crimes is still very lacking because legal
instruments are still weak and the imposition of penalties by judges is
considered not in accordance with what is regulated in the Law related to
the penalties given are considered still very light so that it does not provide
a deterrent effect to the perpetrators of gambling crimes both conventional and online.
