Abstract

Human Resources play a crucial role in organization success, yet heavy
workloads often trigger job-related stress that negatively affects health, performance, and
productivity. This condition is particularly evident among Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs)
at Airnav Indonesia Makassar Branch, who manage intensive 24 hours air traffic
operations at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. Excessive stress can impair
concentration, decision making, and ultimately compromise flight safety.
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Airnav Indonesia’s internal communication
in supporting ATCs’ stress management. The focus lies on how management delivers
information, employees’ responses to mental health initiatives, and the role of two-way
communication in fostering a healthier work environment. By emphasizing internal
communication, this research provides new insights into stress mitigation strategies that
enhance employee well-being, ensure optimal performance, and safeguard aviation
safety.
