Several studies found that mentors provide three functions: a "coaching" function, a "social support" function and a "role modeling function" for protégés. Mentoring studies also found that these three function have impact on proteges performance. This study aims at examining that three functions have significant impact on job satisfaction.
The respondents of the study are the accounting of the public accounting offices. There are 146 individuals participated in the study.
The data analysis is conducted using a Pearson Correlations, and regression analysis. Results of the study show that among three mentoring functions, only role modeling function that has impact on proteges job satisfaction.
