This research was conducted to find out the functionalization of The Law on Nullification of Household Violence No. 23, 2004 as an Administrative Penal Code in overcoming the crime of physical violence in the district of Sleman State Court. This research used normative method. The result showed that the law court sentenced one year imprisonment to the accused. Although six months lower than the prosecution of the public prosecutor, this sentence is appropriate for the accused. The researcher agrees with such a sentence because as head of his family, the accused should not commit such a crime. Instead he should protect his wife.
