This research is based on the urgency of groundwater management in Sleman. As
the population grows, the area becomes more densely populated. This raise
concerns over the quality of groundwater in the local area. For this reason, it is
necessary to know the government's process in ensuring the protection of
groundwater quality to keep it clean and healthy. This research method is
conducted qualitatively and is expected to find solutions and efforts to protect
groundwater quality with the implementation of Regional Regulation Number 4 of
2019 under study.
