Pollution cases are one of the most common cases, not only happened at the land,
but also at the sea. One of the cases are pollutions by waste. On March 11th 2011,
a nuclear power plant located on Fukushima, Japan, has destroyed by an
earthquake, followed by a great tsunami. The Japanese government then decided to
dump the processed nuclear water waste that used to cool the reactor into the
Pacific Ocean, causing opposition from the neighboring countries such as China,
South Korean, and Hong Kong. The Japanese government then sent a request for
approval of the plan to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). From here,
IAEA then carries it’s duties as an international atomic agency to prevent
transboundary marine pollution.
