Abstract

This research examines the legal implications of halal product guarantees in
Indonesia, where the majority of the population is Muslim. As mandated by
the Quran (Surat Al-Maidah, verse 88), Muslims must consume food that
meets halal and thayyib standards, which are essential for their health and
faith. With Muslims being the largest consumer group in Indonesia, ensuring
halal product guarantees is crucial. This study aims to investigate the legal
consequences of halal guarantees in Indonesia, exploring the relationship
between halal product guarantees and Islamic law, and the legal frameworks
governing halal product certification in the country. The research will
provide insights into the legal consequences of halal product guarantees, and
its implications for consumers, businesses, and policymakers in Indonesia.
