Cilegon City is an area in Banten Province, Indonesia which is known by some
people as an industrial city with various sectors including steel factories and
chemical factories. This research and study focuses on how much impact the
activities caused by industrial activities and to what extent the implementation of
administrative sanctions by the environmental agency is running to overcome
environmental problems caused by B3 waste violations. The type of research
studied in this study is empirical research, where empirical research is research
that focuses on social facts in the field. This study also includes respondents as
primary data and secondary data in the form of laws and regulations along with
secondary legal materials as complementary research data. The results of the study
achieved are that the implementation of administrative sanctions by the
Environmental Agency to B3 waste violators has been effective, as evidenced by the
number of environmental damage due to B3 waste violations in 2023 and 2024
decreasing drastically where in 2023 there were 4 cases of B3 waste violations until
in 2024 there were zero cases of B3 waste violations. However, there is one obstacle
in the implementation of sanctions by B3 waste violators, namely that they are still
not compliant with the implementation of administrative sanctions, namely not
implementing administrative sanctions in a timely manner where B3 waste violators
do not implement them according to the deadline agreed between the
Environmental Service and the B3 waste violators.
