Legal research discusses the position and legal protection of digital bank
customers who have deposits guaranteed by LPS. The problems raised in
this study are the position of digital banks and repressive legal protection
and how legal protection is obtained by digital bank customers for their
deposits in digital banks. The research method used in this study uses
normative research, by comparing Law Number 4 of 2023 with Financial
Services Authority Regulation Number 12/POJK.03/2021 and looking at
secondary legal sources in the form of journals and other legal research
related to the establishment of digital banks and non-digital banks and the
legal protection obtained by digital bank customers for their deposits in
digital banks. The results of the study show that deposits guaranteed by LPS
must meet the criteria set by LPS, such as a maximum interest rate obtained
by customers of 4.25% per year.
