Waste management involves activities such as reduction, storage, collection,
transportation, utilization, processing, and/or disposal. This study aims to
identify the responsibilities of layer chicken farmer and the forms of
accountability they uphold in managing manure waste. The research employs
an empirical legal method conducted through interviews with respondents.
Layer poulty farmer fulfill their responsibilities by adhering to the obligations
outlined in the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number
31/Permentan/OT.140/2/2014 concerning Good Practices in Broiler and
Layer Chicken Farming. Overall, layer chicken farmers have taken
responsibility for manure waste management to mitigate air pollution.
However, certain obligations have not been fully met due to limited land
availability and the Poulty dealer lack of knowledge.
