Alifuru tribe in Ameth Village, violations of Sasi Laut have serious consequences regulated by local customary norms. Sanctions applied to perpetrators of violations of Sasi Laut are not only punitive in nature, but also include aspects of
social work and restoration of ecosystem balance. Decisions regarding sanctions are taken through deliberation with the community, reflecting participation and consensus in maintaining the sustainability of marine resources and maintaining social harmony. This sanctions system aims not only to punish, but also to educate and ensure the restoration of natural balance.
