Environmental pollution has clearly resulted in a decrease in environmental quality, thereby
disrupting sustainable development. One of the causes of environmental damage in the laundry
business sector is the disposal of liquid waste. Laundry is the activity of washing clothes using a
machine or manually by hand with water and detergent. Literally, laundry means the activity of
washing clothes. The use of detergents containing high phosphates and the lack of concern for
business actors to complete their business with a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), which can
hinder water purification so that groundwater and well water around the site are polluted by
chemical waste, The data analysis method used in this research is the descriptive analysis method.
This method of data analysis involves describing the state or status of phenomena with words or
sentences that are separated according to categories to draw conclusions. The fictitious process or
reasoning process used is a deductive process, which starts from a general proposition whose truth is
already known and ends at a specific conclusion. In this case, the general proposition is related to the
laws and regulations regarding the existence of Bantul Regent Regulation Number 15 of 2015, and
the specific proposition is Law Enforcement against laundry entrepreneurs who dispose of waste
without permission in Bantul Regency. Based on research conducted by the author, so far there has
been no implementation of supervision of liquid waste disposal permits for laundry business actors in
Bantul Regency in accordance with the Regional Regulation, and there has never been law
enforcement against laundry business actors who do not have a liquid waste disposal permit. Some of
the obstacles that occurred in making these permits included the difficulty in carrying them out
because the majority of laundry businesses in Bantul Regency were small and medium scale due to a
lack of understanding about having to register a business and having a business license, as well as a
lack of understanding by residents about the importance of knowing the impact of disposing of liquid
waste from residents' laundry businesses in Bantul Regency. It is considered that this does not cause
large amounts of waste water, and the damage that is caused is not massive. Laundry business actors
who are also MSME in nature and have a small turnover tend not to be aware of and obey the
regulations for disposing of liquid waste as stipulated in the Perbup mentioned above. The Satpol PP
of Bantul Regency has never conducted sudden inspections of laundry business actors in Bantul
Regency.
