The background of this research is the development of nusa dua tourism area
which is goes along with the increase of waste volume that is produced in this
area and the producers of hazardous waste in this area is have a difference
hazardous waste management that need to be monitored. The purpose of this
research is to find out the legal aspects of hazardous waste management in nusa
dua tourism area according to the environment pollution prevention and the
obstacles faced in hazardous waste management at nusa dua tourism area. The
formulation of the problem taken in this study is how the legal aspect of the
hazadous waste management in nusa dua tourism area according to the
environment pollution prevention and what is the obstacle that is faced in the
hazardous waste management. The legal research that used in this research is
empirical research or field research that focused in the field data as the primary
data resource. This study concludes that the hazardous waste management in
nusa dua tourism area is almost good and make the pollution preventionin
tourism area but there is some incomply aspect with the regulations of hazardous
waste management and the hazardous waste management is not optimal because
there are some obstacle such as lack of special rooms to store the non hazardous
waste and lack of hazardous waste collectors in Badung Regency. To faced the
obstacle of the hazardous waste management, hazardous waste producers must
maintain the model of hazardous waste management and improve the hazardous
waste management, so that the management can comply with the regulations of
hazardous waste management. For the corporation that manage nusa dua tourism
area, can be the hazardous waste collectors in Badung Regency.
