Abstract

Industrial activities produce waste, and from the waste produced there is
Hazardous and Toxic (B3) waste. B3 waste will cause environmental pollution if
not managed properly. B3 waste is different from other wastes mainly because of
its unstable nature, as well as the potential for disturbances that cause disease in
humans. Due to its nature, its management is certainly different from non-B3
waste. Starting from packaging, storage, processing, and stockpiling, everything
must be based on efforts to prevent and reduce the hazardous nature of B3 waste.
This thesis is entitled "B3 Waste Management by PT. Serinding Sumber Makmur
as an effort to control environmental pollution in Sandai District". The method
used in this study is an empirical legal study that focuses on social facts and data
obtained through interviews with people related to this thesis.
The results of this study have not shown any obstacles in the management of
hazardous waste to PT. Serinding Sumber Makmur. Ketapang PERKIMLH
service recommends that regular evaluations be carried out on the community
and business actors in order to increase knowledge about B3 waste so that
environmental pollution does not occur.
