In modern times like today, meeting people's needs able be done easily, namely, every
community can open online store applications available on their cellphones. These
online stores also has a variety of payment methods. The various payment methods,
namely, payments via m-banking or electronic money. However, it was also known that
there were also other payment methods, named Cash on Delivery or commonly called
by CoD. Based on this, what legal position does the courier have in an online sale and
purchase with the cash on delivery method and the responsibility of the seller
(merchant) if something bad happens to the courier when sending the goods sold. In
his research, the author uses normative legal research. In carrying out research,
researchers focus on legal systematics, so that in conducting research, researchers do
not need to go to the field to obtain the required data. The conclusion is that the legal
position possessed by a courier in online buying and selling transactions is only as an
intermediary who serves as a distributor of objects or objects agreed between the seller
and the buyer.
