Based on Pemalang Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2018 concerning the Spatial Plan for Pemalang Regency 2018-2038, the minimum area of Green Open Space in Pemalang Regency is 30% of the total area, while 2020 data in Regency Pemalang only reaches less than 1%. Therefore, the authors conducted research with the
formulation of the problem of how to provide green open space based on Pemalang
Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2018 concerning Pemalang Regency
Spatial Planning 2018-2038 in Pemalang Regency and the constraints for the
Government in providing the Green Open Space which aims to know the facts of the
provision of green open spaces in the district and to find out the obstacles in providing
green open spaces for the government. The type of data used is primary data obtained
through interviews with sources and secondary data obtained by literature study. The
content of this research is that until 2020 the percentage of green open spaces in
Pemalang Regency has not met the minimum requirements of the Pemalang Regency
Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2018 concerning the Spatial Plan for Pemalang
Regency 2018-2038, which is only 0,62% covering an area of 111.530 HA of the total
area. This happens because limited land is the main obstacle for the Government in
expanding the Green Open Space.
