Abstract

This undergraduate thesis entitled "The Use of Border Code River in
Sleman Region for Settlements Based on Sleman Regency Regulation Number 12 of
2012 concerning Spatial Planning for Sleman Regency Region in 2011-2031".
Border river is included in protected areas based on the Elucidation of Article 5
paragraph 2 of Law Number 26 of 2007. Border river as a protected area, protected
by the use of its space. The use of river border for settlements reduces the river
sustainability.
The purpose of this research is to know, review, and analyze the use of
border Code River in the Sleman area for settlements based on the Regional
Regulation of Sleman Regency Number 12 of 2012 concerning the Spatial Planning
of the Sleman Regency Region in 2011-2031. This research is an empirical legal
research. Empirical legal research is research conducted that focuses on social
facts. This research was conducted directly to respondents and informants as
primary data, and primary legal material. The method used in analyzing data is a
qualitative method. Reasoning process in concluding is using the inductive thinking
method.
The research show that the use of border Code River in Sleman Region for
settlements is not accordance with Sleman Regency Regulation Number 12 of 2012
concerning Spatial Planning for Sleman Regency Region in 2011-2031 because the
settlemenst is not accordance with the purpose of spatial planning on Sleman
Regency Regulation Number 12 of 2012 Article 2 and the settlements in Code River
Border disrupt the function and the sustainability of river.
