Child trafficking has been a global phenomena which is very contrary to human
dignity. In the past, child trafficking was seen only as forcible movement for
prostitution purposes. As the world progressed, trafficking has been defined as
movement of children with or without the parents or guardian consent. The
intensity of child trafficking require significant role of Child Protective Service to
assist the law enforcement agency to handle that issue. The step that can be taken
by the Child Protective Service and law enforcement agency is to maximize
judicial instrument that already existed. This step is aimed to suppress the parties
engaged in child trafficking. The role of the Child Protective Service itself is to
assist the law enforcement agency in handling the child trafficking victims outside
of judicial procedures.
