Livestock is currently one of the businesses that is in great demand by business
people especially pig farming. However, pig farming has many negative impacts on
the environment. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the
implementation of supervision carried out by the environmental service on pig farm
waste. This research is empirical legal research directly on respondents to obtain
primary data and supplemented with secondary data. Control of the Environmental
Service of Sleman Regency has an important role in pig farm waste as an effort to
prevent pollution. This agency implements the Sleman regulation Number 1 of 2016
concerning Environmental Protection and Management so that community
livestock businesses do not have a negative impact on the environment. However,
on average, pig farms in Sleman Regency are not licensed, which makes it difficult
for the Regency Environmental Service to carry out supervision. The author's
suggestion for this writing is that the Environmental Service together with the
Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Service provide guidance to pig farms about the
importance of having a Livestock Business License (TPPR) for smallholder farms,
in order to reduce the problems of the Sleman Regency Environmental Service in
carrying out supervision.
