Abstract
The dock construction contract between PT. Parna Agromas and CV. Valfer Lestari does not contain provisions regarding the protection and responsibility of third parties outside the contract. This study aims to find out how the legal responsibilities of PT. Parna Agromas and CV.Valfer
Lestari to third parties who suffer losses due to the implementation of construction work contracts. This research is an empirical study. The type of research data is primary data and secondary data with primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. Data collection techniques in the form of literature studies and interviews with respondents. The data
analysis method used in this legal research is qualitative. Legal liability for losses suffered by third parties due to the implementation of construction work contracts between PT. Parna Agromas and CV. Valfer Lestari, is the responsibility of CV. Valfer Lestari as the party carrying out construction work. While PT. Parna Agromas as the employer helps in legal aspects of the CV. Valfer Lestari
needs help. This is based on the provisions of Article 1339 and Article 1365 of the Civil Code. In this case, the principle adopted by PT. Parna Agromas and CV. Valfer Lestari is the principle of strict liability. The compensation process is carried out in a family way and involves local village official.
