Mining activities in addition to positive impact also negatively impact the cause of environmental damage. Environmental damage is increasingly when using heavy equipment. Environmental damage should be controlling. The
problem in this research is how the control of environmental damage as a result of the use of heavy equipment in mining in the district of Kemalang Klaten District.
This research is an empirical research law. Data is obtained from the source in the field and the literature study by conducting interviews with Resonden. The findings of this law are the control of environmental damage carried out by prevention, countermeasures and recovery by DLH Klaten
Regency.
The conclusion in this study is the control of environmental damage as a result of the use of heavy equipment in mining activities has not run optimally and the authors suggest that DLH Regency Klaten do routine supervision And to provide strict sanctions against the mining business.
