This article intends to analyze the implementation of copyright law protection at the practical
level through both court and mechanism outside the court. The nature of the complaint offense
of copyright infringement places the creator in the central position whether there is law
enforcement when infringement happens. The aspect of Copyright economic benefit is a major
consideration in the presence or absence of lawsuits. The method used in this study is normative
legal research. In this study the data is secondary data complemented by the result of interview
with parties related to the problems under study. The result shows that the evil stigma of
copyright infringement contributes to the high level of infringement and economic consideration
is more important in determining whether there are complaints or at least or the beginning of
the repressive law enforcement process.
