Abstract

Soldier duty are to defend, protect and maintain the integrity and sovereignty Indonesian
Republic from various threats that comes from domestic orforeign that can distrub the stability of
the unitary state 0.(Indonesian Republic, To support those duties, soldiers have the authority to have
firearms, but in the reality, many soldiers are committing the misuse of the firearms. This law
research will specifically discuss about the misuse offirearms that is committed by the soldier. The
pUlpose of the research is to know the form of accountability to the soldier who committed gun
misuse. The type ofthis law research is normative law research. The normative law research is the
research thatfocuses on the positive law norms that setforth in legislation relating to accountability
for the soldiers that commit gun misuse. In the conclusion-withdrawel-ofthinkingprocess/reasoning
process used deductively which is derived from data or fact that the truths are "known and end in
specific conclusion. Based on that research, the.form ofaccountability to the soldiers who commit
firearms misuse is law accountability and official accountability.
