Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the functions of Sand Mining Monitoring by Dinas
Pekerjaan Umum Perumahan dan Sumber Daya Energi (Public Works, Housing and
Energy Resources Agency) in monitoring sand mining located in the Progo River of Kulon
Progo Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta. The research method used in this study
is normative method. This research is focused on Law and Regulations on the Function of
Sand Mining Monitoring by Public Works, Housing and Energy Resources Agency in the
Progo River, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta. The research findings
indicate that the efforts carried out by the Public Works, Housing and Energy Resources
Agency in monitoring sand mining in the Progo River, Kulon Progo Regency, Special
Province of Yogyakarta are still insufficient.
