Abstract

This thesis discusses about the legal protection for assistants of children
victims of sexual abuse with disabilities. The background revolves around the
situation of assistance process for victims of sexual abuse, particularly childres
with disabilities, in which the victims were often intimidated by perpetrator and
the assistants were not protected by the existing law. The core problems were as
follows the current forms of legal protection for assistans of children victims of
sexual abuse, particularly those with disabilities, and the practice of these laws for
the protection of the assistants. Finding suggests that there is no law to
specifically protect the assistants of children victims of sexual abuse with
disabilities. Regulation of Undang-Undang Nomor 39 Tahun 1999 on Human
Rights was deemed enough to also cover the protection for victim assistants. In
conclusion, there is no legal protection for the assistants of children victims of
sexual abuse with disabilities.
