Abstract

This research is entitled Waste Management of Djasamen Saragih General Hospital
as an Environmental Pollution Prevention Effort in Pematangsiantar. This study aims
to determine the implementation of management of public hospital waste saragih as
an effort to prevent environmental pollution in Pematangsiantar. This type of research
is empirical legal research, which focuses on social facts and behavior of legal
communities with methods of data collection in the form of literature studies and
interviews. This research was conducted at the Djasamen Saragih Pematangsiantar
General Hospital, Pematangsiantar Environmental Service, Pematangsiantar Health
Office. The results of the study show that waste management in general has gone
well, but there are things that are still an obstacle at the moment, namely management
is not optimal because some of the management functions do not function properly as
a result of which management is not optimal. It is still difficult to get bacteria for
bacterial breeding, because of the management system used by An Aerob, which
controls air or oxygen from the outside. As well as the drainage of waste has not yet
fully experienced the smooth flow, which is caused by the presence of new buildings
that are increasing around the Djasamen Saragih General Hospital Pematangsiantar.
