Abstract

Legal writing with title “Street buskers’ Activity Reviewed from Constitution
Number 28 Year 2014 About Copyright” , this observation written to understand
the law of intellectual property rights. Intellectual property rights related with
copyright of street busker’s activity within showing their performances by sing a
song that belongs other people. This research using empirical research method,
focus on street busker’s activity around Malioboro Street Yogyakarta. Data
collecting method through the data that obtained directly from respondent by the
object that observe by detail as a main data specifically from interview. Sample
taken by random sampling method is a technique to obtain the data based on a
sample from population that randomly observe by the level of that population.
Research result showed that Street buskers’ Activity Reviewed from Constitution
Number 28 Year 2014 then the busker’s activity is a classification of copyright
violation. Copyright in this case related of exclusife right that owned by the creator,
so the creator could propose a lawsuit for the copyright. Street busker’s activity
form a copyright violation of exlusive right againts the creation and take advantage
of the creation belongs other perople.
