The type of legal writing is a review of the implementation of the investigation for
police members who committed the crime. It purpose of writing this law is to know whether
the investigation process for police officers who committed the crime has been running in an
objective and what barriers experienced by investigators in the investigation. The method of
research used was normative legal writing, research focused on the norms (law in the book)
and secondary data (legal source) as primary
data.
The result of the normative legal research is was the policeman who
involvedcriminal act has been processed by Public Court based on KUHAP and he was not
prosecuted in Military court Anymore. Some restrictions that law enforcingofficer t act as
investigator criminal act on policeman involved were : (1) still found some investigators did
not act objectively due to have same profession with the prosecuted, (2) still found public
point of view on objectivity of investigator, and (3) still found culture to defend their own
institution.
