Local governments have an obligation in carrying out efforts to accelerate
growth and regional development, prospering, absorbing and running the
expectations of the community. As a vehicle for implementing democracy based on
Pancasila. Control of the government internal supervisor is required by the Regional
Inspectorate. Supervision aims to ensure that the government runs effectively and
efficiently in accordance with the provisions of legislation. Supervision conducted by
the Inspectorate of DIY is one effort to reduce the occurrence of irregularities and
deviations to the implementation of government, especially in the province of
Yogyakarta, the process must be done continuously and continuously. Inspectorate
DIY is very important to be able to know whether the implementation of activities
carried out by officials and departments in the provincial government of DIY in
accordance with the appropriate or not. The purpose of this study is to know and
explain how the Effectiveness of Implementation of Inspectorate Tasks of
Yogyakarta Special Region in the Framework of Realizing Good Governance, and
the supporting factors and inhibiting the effectiveness of the implementation of
Inspectorate duties of Yogyakarta Special Region. This research is normative, where
data is collected through literature study and interview. The results of this thesis
indicate that to create the effectiveness of the implementation of the Inspectorate of
DIY tasks required the role of other institutions in creating good governance.
